St Kitts-based CIP Agent, MSR Media, has taken legal action against the government of St Kitts in Florida under the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. The lawsuit alleges that the Kittian government is involved in the unlawful underselling of passports.
The lawsuit also names Saint Lucia’s CIP CEO, McClaude Emmanuel, as a co-defendant. MSR Media’s grievances center around Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, a CIP Agent based in St Kitts and Saint Lucia. Philippe Martinez, the Founder of MSR Media, has accused Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate of facilitating the illegal underselling of passports in both countries.
Martinez expressed concern about the potential impact of such behavior on visa access for all Caribbean citizens. He also highlighted the risk to investments, emphasizing that if the EU were to revoke the Schengen visa, the value of the passport would become irrelevant. In response to the lawsuit, the government of Saint Lucia has distanced itself from the dispute between St Kitts and MSR Media, asserting that its due diligence procedures are robust and independent.
On the other hand, in St Kitts, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has announced a review of their CIP operations and has committed to revoking the passports of any CIP citizen who invested below the minimum requirement.
