The Gros Islet Vendors Association has been honored at the Island’s prestigious tourism awards-“THE GIMIES”. The association was recognized for its outstanding contribution to community development for hosting and managing the Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party. The event is the longest running activity of its kind in the Caribbean. The street party has become a major attraction for visitors to the island, and is frequently featured as one of the “must do” activities when vacationing in St Lucia.
The Gros Islet Vendors Association received an award of special recognition for its unwavering efforts in fostering community spirit, promoting local culture and enhancing the tourism experience in St Lucia.
