Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred Sunday morning at Assou Canal, Grande Riviere, Gros Islet. Reports indicate that two individuals, a man and woman, were sitting in a vehicle, when a volley of gunshots were fired at them from another vehicle. Sources say the woman sustained a bullet wound to the shoulder, while the man is said to have escaped unscathed.
Meanwhile, One Bexon resident is thanking his lucky stars after surviving a shooting incident, which occurred on the evening of April 5th, 2024, at approximately 9:40pm. Reports suggest that the 28-year-old male was on his way home when he was accosted and later shot.
He was transported to hospital via private vehicle where he is reportedly in stable condition. Fortunately, his injuries are not perceived as life threatening.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding these latest shooting incidents are currently being conducted by the RSLPF.
