Plans for the establishment of a Youth Services Center to house wards of the state for care and protection, are avidly being pursued by the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment. The site earmarked for the center is the former George Charles Secondary School, located in Cul de Sac. The building was visited by Equity Minister Hon. Joachim Henry and his team, last week to ascertain the extent of the proposed works.
Currently the area is being cleared in preparation for extensive remedial works which will transform the former educational institution, into a state of the art facility, geared at the education and rehabilitation of vulnerable youth.
