St. Jude’s kitchen staff took a stand and protested against their working conditions on June 1st, 2021. The aggravated staff said their decision was influenced  after making numerous complaints to management about a water leak, sourced from a sink located in their kitchen. “This has been a hazard to our health,” said one of the kitchen staff.

Some staff disclosed that for some time now, their morning routine started with mopping kitchen floors from excessive water pools.

As a result of their actions, St. Jude’s patients were left without breakfast and also received a late lunch.

After several hours of protesting, the water leak situation was rectified, and workers resumed their normal duties.

The CEO of St. Jude hospital Diana Henery Ernest, was unavailable for comments.
