On Sunday July 26 2020, the Community of Blachard Desruisseaux came out when a frantic call was sent  after the discovery of a fire in a wooden structure in the community. Micoud Fire officials were alerted to the scene to extinguished the fire.  It is alleged that the sole occupant of the house who is said to be of unsound mind set the house ablaze.  It is  reported that the young man was seen running away  after the discovery of the fire.

The matter is currently under investigation.
