TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A weak tropical wave will continue to produce occasional showers over the lesser Antilles today. Following the passage of this tropical wave, a plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to cause a reduction in visibility and air quality over our region during the next few days.

Abroad area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h. This system is expected to affect the Lesser Antilles from Wednesday and has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next five days.

A third tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange.
